Rambo

Melissa “Rambo” Schobert was born and currently resides in Milwaukee, WI. Rambo is attending the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jewelry and Metalsmithing, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance Choreography and Performance, a minor in Spanish Language, and a certificate in Digital Fabrication and Design. Thanks to a background in small-business manufacturing, she has an acute appreciation for the value of skilled and hard-working hands. Her current work in visual arts explores functional objects that dangle from a belt as a departure point for reflecting on the idea of the journey and the traveler. She aims to bring together beauty and functionality, as well as self-reflection for herself and for others who interact with her work.
